When I start an AMD 350 I get the following message "CMOS checksum error ".
the computer just hangs with the cursor blinking.
I have unplugged the peripheals to no avail.
the cmos battery was replaced 9 mo ago.
    Any ideas ????

This generally means that the BIOS has not been configured. Clear the CMOS memory, enter BIOS, and put in the correct settings.

If the error recurs, try a new battery.

If you lose the correct time between boots, it is probably the battery.
