Recently I've noticed that the time display on the desktop is sometimes wrong after waking the PC from sleep mode - the clock appears to have stopped during sleep period.

I use the sleep key on the MS Internet keyboard, rather than 'Start ....' Keyboard driver is latest - like downloaded last week.

Read the other threads re clocks, but nothing of relevance. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

    Asus A7V333 motherboard
    AMD Athlon 1800+ XP

Does it also stop when you power down for a while? Specifically if you power down and remove the power cord.

No - the PC is powered down each night and switched off at the wall socket and there is no problem on boot up the next day.

This effect of the clock stopping in sleep (standby) mode is very intermittent - I wonder if it has anything to do with the PC state when I select standby, eg screensaver running. I haven't noticed the clock stopping recently when I make sure that the screen is 'live'
    Thanks

I think I'd report that one to Microsoft. Sounds like you may have found a bug they haven't noticed yet.
