I have just noticed recently that my clock is way out of time. I have reset it to my local time and synchronised it with time.nist.gov. Everythin seemed fine until I tried to do some editing in Windows Media Player. It tells me that it cannot edit because "Windows Media Player cannot perform the requested action. Your computer's time and date might not be set correctly. "

I then tried to synchronize with time.windows.com and it tells me," it cannot not synchronize because of the difference between the peer and host ".

I'm not really sure how far out the clock was but I have some things that have been dated February 22, 2010 and that was a week or more ago.

I feel that maybe there is an outside influence causing this problem, however, I have noticed no other issues except occasional lag when playing audio files.

    Hi DCMurray,

I'll leave your logs to the malware analysts but have you considered that your CMOS battery may be failing (I note your system is 6-7 yrears old)?

I don't see any security issues here, so I'll remove logs and move this thread to Windows section.
