Clicking on URL's won't work

    When I click on a URL in an email message it won't work. I have to copy and paste it to Internet Explorer! It used to work but now it doesn't. Help Please.:confused:

    URL Links Don't Work in Outlook Express

    Well I tried all of the above but no change, The links when I click on them still don't work. It looks like it will ie the cursor changes to the hand, but nothing happens. Any more ideas most welcome.:confused:

    I have to ask the obvious. Do you have a popup killer installed?

    No I don't have a Pop up killer installed. I am using IE 6, do you think I should try a reinstall? Thanks for your help, all suggestions appreciated.:(

    The only other thing I can think of is in Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options>Programs tab and make sure Outlook Express in is the Email field.

    What OS are you running? You may be able to do a repair if redownloading it is not to your liking (you may end up doing that anyway).

    This patch from Microsoft addresses a different problem but it replaces urlmon.dll with an updated version (you may already have it from Windows Update). Worth a try. Can't hurt.

    Yes Outlook Express is there in Internet Options. I have Windows XP Professional installed.

    Ok everyone, I have fixed it I think!! I did a system restore, back to 2 weeks ago and it is now working, I would like to know what the gemlin was though, but maybe never will. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. :)
