Hi, I'm using the great Firefox browser, ver 2.001 and was looking for a "Clear Cache" tab in options. Wondering if there is one. I use Easy Cleaner and that cleans IE's cache but not Firefox . Any help??
    Thank you,
    Paul :)

    Paul,

Go to Tools/Options/Privacy/Private Data. Click on Clear Now and a box will pop up asking what private data you want to clear. Cache is listed there.

    Hi Paul,

In Options, on the Advanced > Network tab you can set the size of your cache, and there's a button to clear it.

On the Privacy tab, Look at the Private Data section at the bottom. Settings there will allow you to select the type of private data, including cache, you want to clear, either immediately, or each time FF closes.

    Paul ...

I find that, with a broadband (cable) connection, I really don't need a cache.

If you do use a cache, note that you can set it up so that it's cleared automatically each time FF closes.

If you set the cache size to 0 MB, you don't ever have to worry about clearing it. :)

    Paul,

    From Firefox Tips & Tricks:

To disable the memory cache completely, use about:config to set the preference:: browser.cache.memory enable from enable to false.

Not to be picky, but I believe it should be "change the value for browser.cache.memory.enable from true to false" (simply double-click it).

Thank you Jim. Also note that when you enter: browser.cache.memory, it does bring up the correct setting: browser.cache.memory.enable
