I use compressed air to get the dirt under the keys. The keys themselves are not so easy to clean. I have read the recommendations with Q-tip. I've also
read about cleaning keys by removing them from the keyboard. Is a screwdriver the best method? How hard is it to put them back? Easily broken?
What type of cleaner on cloth is recommended?

IMHO trying to remove the keys is unwise - fiddly and possibly terminal as far as the keyboard is concerned :)

Damp cloth - forefinger - spot of washing up liquid or buy a black keyboard :D

I have a black keyboard, and when the sun shines in the window, it reveals all. :)

I'll try the damp cloth/and a mild liquid soap or windex combo.

Keyboards are pretty tough. Have known several people that run them through the dishwasher with a small amount of soap. The key to this, pardon the pun, is to make sure it dries enough. Can use a hair dryer and or let it air out for 24 hrs.

I've successfully removed keys and cleaned them individually and put them back. Make sure you have another keyboard availabe to remember where they went!!!!!!

Very time consuming and would only recommend if it's a special keyboard otherwise replace it!
