    Hello & Happy New Year to everyone! I would love to talk with someone that has a P-III Pavillion, I know thats probaly dumb but it might be easier for me to get directions. My problem is that I'm afraid of how to set up the CD to boot in BIOS. My BIOS tab for 'Boot' shows this;

    Boot menu
    Below is a summary of what is contained on the Boot tab of the BIOS Setup:

    Removable Devices

    ATAPI CD-ROM Drive

    Hard Drive

    Network Boot

    Hard Drive (viewable, but not changeable)

    Removable Devices (viewable, but not changeable)
    ============================================
    Do I highlight ATAPI CD-ROM to make it boot the XP upgrade CD?
    Thanks for any help,,,
    ~~Paul

    Hello Paul,

    If the order is as you list them, then the system will look for a bootable disc ahead of the HD.

    Bootup with the disc in the ROM drive with nothing in the floppy drive.

    Happy New Year,

    Charles
