Here's a question for the schmat guys.

I would like to change the color of page backgrounds so they won't blind me. I found the windows but the choices are three shades of black. Would like a color pallet to select something other than bright white.

    Thanks, Bill

For Firefox (don't use Chrome) ....

Tools > Options > Content > Colors button - click on Background color box

    or via an add-on ....

    Color That Site!

Are you sure your monitor's brightness and contrast settings are set correctly?

The problem with changing the settings in individual browsers is the page may not render as the author intended. That often results in text, buttons, links, etc. being washed out with the same color as the background.

Many monitors have preset options often called, Cool, Normal, Warm, etc. Some are called Movie, or something else. Check your OSD (on-screen display) menu for your monitor.
