choppy curser action

    the action with the cursor is choppy
    what do i do ?

    Not sure exactly what mean by a choppy cursor, please explain what the cursor is doing.

    Please also tell us your Operating System.

    windows xp professional
    the choppy curser action is as if the cpu is maxed out and it skips
    if i do circles with the curser the action is not smooth and it jumps n skips
    like a bouncing football

    First step is to try another mouse.

    Are you using a wired mouse or wireless mouse - if the latter when did you last change the batteries?

    itsa touchpad
    i am using 115 vac
    the batteries do not work-dead

    Well. it would have been helpful to know that from your first post.

    I suggest you reload the drivers for it - most likely a Synaptics Touchpad, which should be available on the laptop manufacturer's web site.

    No guarantee that reloading the drivers will resolve the issue, but it's the obvious place to start :)
