Resolved chkdsk keeps cancelling

    when i reboot my computer ( HP Pavillion 5600 using windows xp) it keeps telling me that chkdsk was cancelled and that one of my disks need to be checked!!I am a beginner but i have ran the chkdsk r and f and it still wont run any help would be appreciated!!! Thanks,

    Hi Jesse, Welcome to BBS. To run Chkdsk you must Shut down and Reboot your computer. Does the comp Start and then go to a Blue screen and show text for going through the 5 steps it checks? Neil.

    If you hit any key within 15 seconds of the blue screen appearing - you will cancel the check operation.

    no it dont go through any steps it just says one of my didks need to be checked for consostency and then says it has been cancelled!!! thanks for getting back to me!!!
