I currently have Windows 7 Home Ed. Is there any way to test my hardware for compatibility with Windows 10 before allowing an online install by Micro$oft

I am a die-hard Lightscribe user. Mine is an external USB CD/DVD Burner. It has always made sense to have a Burner etch CD/DVD Label information instead of using stick on labels that can leak glue. I want to continue using it. Since it's discontinued, there is nowhere to get new drivers or firmware. Or is there?

How does Windows 10 behave with legacy hardware like that?

    Thank you,

Unlike previous versions of Windows there is no standalone Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor available for download - instead it is run when you reserve your copy of Windows 10 as described here ....

Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1

If your basic hardware fails to meet the minimum specifications Windows 10 will not install.

    Regarding Lightscribe read this ....

    LightScribe Drive - Driver

If you have the possibility of plugging the drive into a Windows 10 computer you will find out if it is recognized.
