We have a older client that when it is BOOTED UP we receive an error message that READS "CHECK CABLE" I think this is a DOS ERROR MESSAGE and it is telling me that the HARD DRIVE cable connections is not connected.
The client will not BOOT UP you just REC. this message on a black screen.
Any help woould be appreciated. thanks. STORMY

Does the BIOS see a drive?

Will it boot from a floppy?

    Cable Error Message

This paticular client is not easily accessed by me because of the distance to the location. I will instruct the user/employee to use the BOOT DISK and see what occurs. Thanks for the responce. S
