Windows 2000 advanced server with dhcp leasing. We are going to change to dhcp reservation. Approx 500 computers. Are there any articles on do's an don'ts when doing this?

I am trying to stop computers that are not ours from getting a dhcp address. Am I on the right track by switching to reservations?

    Thanks

You are right on track to manage it through reservations. You can also setup MAC address filtering on your switches to only allow network cards identified by your IT department to attach to your network.
