    Hi everybody.

I'm using the Japanese version of Windows Xp with the Japanese version of IE 6. To change the Language of IE from Japanese to english I tried to reinstall IE6 from IE's home page by choosing English language . but during the download the following error desplays: Screen Capture here

" Please Remove your current language version of Internet Explorer before you install a new language version.
To do this, quit setup, and then in Control Panel, double click the Add/Remove Programms icon. Select Internet Explorer, and then click Add/Remove.

Do you want to continue setup?"

with Yes and No Buttons .

The problem is that there's no Internet Explorer in my Add/Remove Programs list in Ctrl Panel.

I've done the same task in Win2Kpro without any problem and have been able to change the language of IE.

Any kind of help or hint would be appreciated.

    thanx in advance.

    changing language of IE

    hi HumBug

thanx for the reply. I got the solution to what I was looking for in the link you posted. By changing the value of several Registry's keys, I was able to reinstall English version of IE6 and OutLook Express.

Let me ask you something. How did you find this article. I had searched microsft's support center more than 10 times using it's advanced search by different keywords. But wasn't able to find the article on reinstalling IE.

    Anyhow thanks one more time.

    I appreciate your assist.
