I plan to put my hdd into a different mobo and I remember having issues with this problem year ago or so. But, I remember someone saying something about deleting some stuff in Win to make the transition easier. I think one thing was to delete my cdroms from device manager and possibly some other stuff. I'm running Win98SE and am going from a Tyan mobo to an FIC. Any advice??

    Later. Pepse.

I think you can delete everything from Device Manager and just let Windows autodetect it. What I'd personally do is just reinstall Windows over itself. I did that last year when I moved my hard drive, and that way the new hardware was properly installed, and I didn't lose my files.
