I have just bought a Toshiba L510 notebook. It has Windows 7 OEM version installed. When I first switched it on, I was presented with a screen that gave me options of 32 bit or 64 bit versions. I foolishly clicked the 32 bit option and I have now been advised that I should have installed the 64 bit version as the CPU will apparently handle it with ease. When I check the properties, it shows it is running the 32 bit version.

Is there any way I can change from the 32 bit to the 64 bit version? I have no installation disks as everything was already loaded. I have not yet installed any files so there is no data to lose in the process.

    Thanks.

Isn't there a method of restoring the notebook to the maker's settings? There usually is, and it will be mentioned in the manual.
