    Hello All,

This question is for anyone who knows anything about exchange server 2003. I recently ordered a DSL business account for my business which will allow me to run my own mail server. I am running exchange server 2003 and verizon advised me that I had to rename my exchange server to reflect mail.stone-and-stone.com instead of just stone-and-stone.com. Can someone tell me how to accomplish this task. Thanks for any and all responses.

Unless I am missing something here, I don't see any reason you should have to change the Exchange Server name. If the ISP wants a different name, you can easily give it to them without messing with your box but by just adding a DNS entry.

    Hi Newt:

Thanks for the response. I don't quite get how to tell verizon that they can send mail to mail.stone-and-stone.com and get Exchange to recognize that. On the other hand is what I asked in the above message possible, namely, changing the name of the pop and smtp servers to mail.stone-and-stone.com and being able to send and receive mail?
