    First , thanks for all your help in the past!

    I have DSL and have set it to NEVER dial a connection. Seems like daily I have go in and change the setting back because it keeps changing to dail whenever a network connection not present. I do not do this! Someone has told me if I use any messengers at all XP will do this automatically. Any clues here?
    Sure am tired of always having to change the setting and getting that old pop up, dialup screen.:mad:

    If it were my computer, I would;

    1. check startup tab in msconfig for any third party apps. that require an internet connection (real player, quicktime, weatherbug, AV autoupdate, ISP software, etc.)
    2. eliminate possible trojan wanting to make sure PC is connected whenever it's running with some online virus scans

  3. to hide this advert.
