    changing bootup swquence

I wish to install windows xp on my computer. The indstructions say to bootup from the xp disk but I do not remember how to change the bootup sequence to make it boot off the CD. How do I change these settings and to change them back after loading xp. That appears to be the simplest way to do a clean install.
    Thank You.

You need to enter BIOS to do it.
Watch your very first computer screen, and at the bottom it will say something like:
Press THIS, or THAT key to enter setup.
Press that key, and you'lll find an option to change a bootup sequence.

The setting is in the BIOS. You probably see a message about pressing F10 or the Del key to "enter setup" when your pc is first startig to bootup.
