Change the way users log on and off

    Windows xp home editon
    In user accounts , Change the way users log on or off I uncheck use the welcome screen . But it still go's to the welcome screen how can I stop this and go right to desktop?

    Go to Start>Run, type in "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes), click OK.

    Uncheck the box there concerning entering a password, click OK. Select the account you want to automatically log into, enter the password (or leave blank), click OK.

    That should do it.
