    Hi All,

I would like to change the icon on my desktop for one of my programs but the problem is it doesn't offer me any other choices other than the default one. Can I make an icon and use for this program or is there somewhere where I can get different icons?

    Thanks.

    Go to http://bobbalogh.com/brcsirfanview3.html

and click on and read the tutorial on the left hand side entitled: Icon and Wallpaper IrfanView 3. Scroll down in the tutorial for the section on Icons.

Right click on the icon you wish to change > properties > change icon > browse > navigate to C:\Windows\system32\shell32.dll > open. select an icon and click OK. These are the default and other Windows icons - you may find one that suits you :)

Some more icon locations if anyone has the need:

    Moricons.dll
    Pifmgr.dll
    Progman.exe

All those can be found in the Windows\system32\folder.
