Hi all, I just bought a brand new T43p. I'm loving it! :) I also like experimenting with hardware and software. Can the video card of a laptop be upgraded? Can I put in a 7200rpm hard drive with a larger capacity in to replace a 5400rpm? And how would I add Bluetooth and/or a Fingerprint Reader. That's probably impossible. I just thought I'd give it a shot by asking here. ;) What else could I upgrade?

Let's have some fun here. :D

    Thanks all!

    Hi CrunchDude,

I just got a HP laptop. I can upgrade the hard drives, I have two, and the RAM. Not the graphics card or the sound card I don't think.

If you haven't tried this site, see if it gives you upgrade info. Would not accept T43p as valid search term.

If you didn't get the Blue Tooth port, which I didn't either, then no possibilty of that. The Fingerprint reader I don't know about.

    Regards - Charles

Thanks for the link. Yea, that's what I figured. I put in my type and model #, which is how that works, and boom, tons of options. There is a USB Fingerprint Reader option, but it's nothing like having one built into the unit. Doesn't matter. I'm getting my 2nd GB RAM chip tomorrow and will be happily ever a...well, no, until I get a T60p with the Dual Core LOL...
