    Hi,

I need to change the admin filename. Searched but no
    clues.

Basically, everything in C:\Documents and Settings\Old Admin's Name
should be in folder C:\Documents and Settings\New Admin's Name

Tried to rename the directory but the program said that was impossible.

Is there a procedure that would be successful ?

    Thanks,

    Patrick

As you've seen - you can't rename the folder. You should be able to copy the contents from one to the other.

    Yes!

Backup any irreplaceable files to external media such as a thumb drive, external hard drive, etc.

Go to Control Panel > Users > create a new administrator account.

Logoff the current account > Login to the new admin account.

Go to Control Panel > Users > delete the old admin account BUT DO NOT SELECT TO REMOVE THE FILES.

Copy the files to your new account.
