ChainCast

Question. My wife is trying to listen to a radio station over the Internet. The problem is that it says that she needs a plug-in called ChainCast ActiveX. A search on Google didn't show much about it. One listing says that it is a spyware program.

Has anyone used this plug-in or know anything about it? Any info is appreciated!

As far as it being spy-ware, I installed it on XP, then ran Ad-Aware
and Spy-bot. They didn't find any spy's.
However it did request to be a server when I launched it.
I blocked the server request with my fire wall and
only allowed it internet access.

Thanks for the info! Having an opinion from somebody that actually has it is better then just reading about it. I thank you also for the links. I will read through them and keep your reply handy when I give it a try.

By the way, are you using Netscape or Internet Explorer?

Found this on the ChainCast web site.
Netscape versions 4.08~4.7* are supported, Netscape 6.* is currently not supported.
