chain cdrom & zip

Hello...

I have a Dell Dimension 8200 running win2kpro (yeah I'm one of THOSE types a people). I'm trying to do somthing fairly simple that isn't working and I don't know how to fix it. All I'm trying to do is chain my CDROM drive with a Zip100 Atapi drive because I only have one input for these types of devices. Does it matter the order on the cable? What jumper settings should I use for either of them?

As it stands now, the CDROM drive works when alone (that's how it came) and is set to 'cable select'. If I chain it with the zip, it disappears, they don't appear to get any power [?], and nada happens. Any help? Thanks for any advice!

Ok...got the zip to show up. But the CDROM isn't there. The CDROM is set as 'master' and the zip as 'cable select'. Should they both be 'cable select'?
