cd rom disappeared

    hi, recently for no reason whatsoever,both my cd-rom n cd-writer just disappear n was not detectable even after re-boot.
    it only re-appeared after i removed,a few times, everything from the device manager. please advise. thanks.

    Try booting into Safe Mode and removing your cd-rom from the device manager. Reboot and let window reinstall the driver.
