Using Roxio 5 for burning CD. Been doing so for a long time. Use either Office Depot or Verbatum CD-R Recently I discovered that when adding data to a CD with previous essions on it, and it is getting close to the end, say about 75MB - 100MB from end data gets writenbut then when it is finalizing the system freezes up and it does not complete the session. This is very annoying since I have to fetch a fresh CD and put all the data on it. I use CD as my main backup, and keep adding new data as it is generated .
    Any Ideas
    Thanks

Suggest you check our the Roxio website - seem to recall there was a patch for XP which fixed some problems.

    Can't help further - I prefer Nero :)

I have given up on Roxio's Easy CD Creator. I liked it- it used to work fine, but the last few times I have installed it, it has caused one problem after another, and that "freeze" you describe is one of them. If you are on XP, you can burn data files w/o using the program at all. Just highlight your choices, click folders, click copy to and select your cd drive. It will make a temp file, then you can burn it and you're done. For music, I use either Nero or MMJB, because XP won't let me name and sort files w/o a hassle. Yes, there are two "fixes" for easy cd, but they don't always work, and it's not worth the bother. Just my opinion, YMMV.
