I currently use Nero 6.6 Ultra Edition burning software. I have 3 rewrite drives. In Properties > Recording tab the "Enable CD Recording on this drive" will not stay checked. Whenever I try to access any of the drives it says "Access Denied ", and I have to go into Properties and recheck the Enable box. IMAPI is selected in services to automatically run and to restart if stopped, but it stops anyway.
Why is this happening and how do I fix it? The OS is a new install if that is any help.
I just installed XP Pro, this was not a problem with XP Home Edition. Is this something that is not available to have all drives set to record in XP Pro? Without the "Enable CD Recording on this drive" you cannot browse a CD, you always get the error message "Drive is not accessible ".

BTW: I searched but didn't find anything pretaining to this issue.

 Wondered who would be the first one to ask that.

I of course had the usual CD-RW that came with the computer. I bought the HP DVD Writer for the purpose of putting my VHS tapes on DVD (external drive), THEN came the Lightscribe. I got it because I thought it was neat not to have to print labels (saves ink and price of labels), I make a lot of DVD tapes and I insist they be labeled not just written on.

Not that I use all three at once or very often, but when I do, I don't want to have to go into properties each and everytime just to be able to access the disk.
