Ok, I know it' some setting somewhere but I just can't remember what fixes this.
When I reboot it spins up for a few seconds then slows down then quits. It seems like when ever I do anything even related to that drive it spins up then quits.
I just reconfigured my drives from 2 optical down to one on the secondary IDE. I have it plugged into the end of the cable. It didn't do this before. Very annoying.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Paul

    Points to consider .....

Have you jumpered the drive to Master when using only a single drive?

Does this occur regardless of which drive is connected singly?

Are you sure that there is not a disk on the drive?

Does the drive work as expected otherwise?
