OS Windows 2000. System resognizes the CD Drive and a USB connection to my digital camera. When I insert any type of disk into the CD or connect my digital camera and try to access the drive, I get the message that the CD or memory card from the camera is not formatted, do I want to format it?

Any suggestions as to why this just started to happen and what fix is required?

    Thanks
    Don

Hi Carverdon - Welcome to the Board :)

Had a very similar problem with a friend's digital wallet device (external USB HD) today - solved that by resetting the device, effectively rebooting.

Suggest you remove the CD-ROM drive in Device Manager - or the W2k equivalent, I run XP Pro - reboot and let Windows install it again.

This may solve the camera problem too, but if not suggest you remove the camera software and driver, reboot and reinstall.
