Everytime I try to burn for a start it Seems to take up alot of system memory and ive been just getting errors atleast halfway through the process the xp one was just saying failed to write cd, nero was giving me calibration errors and failed also Ive got the latest firmware installed and still not getting anywhere.

Sounds like a hardware problem, but
that sounds ominous. Hope you can return to the original firmware.

I've also go this problem and need help!

    I am getting the error:
D:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function
most of the time, but basically, I have tried everything I have found that is supposed to be a solution, including uninstalling the cd drive and re-installing it. For some reason my computer is not reading my cd-rw drive as a recordable device I guess? I read somewhere that this was caused by the Windows XP SP2. I don't know if I should uninstall that, because they say the problem related to that is a certain CD burning software (Roxio Easy CD Creator) that I do not have. ANYone, help, PLEASE!!

It could be a batch of bad disks. Try slowing down the burn process and if you are making a copy of a CD, try copying to hard drive first.

Sorry I posted in the wrong place?

But the first message in the thread was basically how my problem was discovered - I wasn't able to burn because, I found out, my drive wasn't being read right. So, sorry and should I move this reply or just stay here with it?! But, the above link won't help, as I don't have Norton. I am sure the problem started when I got that Windows XP Service Pack 2. Sorry again if this is in the wrong place!
