    [Inactive] cant update or use explorer properly

    hi all
    i've had this problem for about a week. i cant download windows updates or any antivirus updates. i can use express, skype and torrent but can't connect to 95% of the internet sites i usually check out. ive tried maybe 5 or 6 different scans etc for all kinds of viruses, especially conficker, but all have come up completely clean. at this point ive got absolutely no idea what o do next, it has all the hallmarks of conficker but, if its there, i cant find it.
    any ideas?

    Sounds like the computer is infected - I have moved your thread to the Malware & Virus Removal forum .....

    If you are unable to download the software on the (infected?) computer use another and transfer across on USB drive or similar.
