Can't Uninstall Java 6 update 7

I can't install Java 6 update 13, because I can't UNinstall update 7. I'm getting a 25099 error that it can't unzip the files. I went to that error diagnostics page at the Java site and did ALL of the remedies they recommended incl. the following:

1.)I looked in the Services for the jqs.exe service, but it wasn't listed.
2.)I ran the net stop "Java Quick Starter" at the cmd prompt, but only got the msg.
“System Error 1060 has occurred.
The specified service does not exist as an installed service.â€

I finally went to the Cntrol Pnl after installing, and running the Windows Install Clean Up utility to uninstall Java 6 update 7. It doesn't show anymore, but I still get the same original 25099 error.

Thanks for that JavaRa App. I could not believe how much junk it cleaned from old JRE uninstalls.

 

Well, it may have cleaned up some junk, but my Java update STILL will not install.
