cant uninstall 2 programs completely

i have a dell dimension 4600 computer which uses windows xp. i used the add and remove feature to get rid of dell support 5.0 and the dell media experience but they didnt uninstall completely. the dell support says auinst.dll is missing and the media one says cant find the file etc. what do i do short of reinstalling them again. i have a cd that says application for reinstalling dell tools system software. it mentions support software, and multimedia software, etc. would that be the correct one to use? any help welcomed. usually when i remove stuff its gone with no problems but this time it doesnt want to go quietly.

problem solved. i used the system restore and was able to completely remove dell support and my dell media experience is mostly removed and only has .63 mb left. it had 155.0 mb when i started. ive heard people are having problems with completely removing it. i dont know why though. any thoughts?now things are back to normal.
