Ok, i am with ntlworld. I can send all things fine on my account, but my brother cannot send files with attachments on his - it results in "mail delivery failed "

if i turn on message scanning with norton systemworks 2004 it just gives him an error saying "message not sent "

We are using Microsoft Outlook 2000 btw. Anyone knows what could be the problem?

    thanks

    email attachment...

you didnt say if you had a router or the OS...some routers have whats called a MTU size, which is Maximum Transmission Unit...if your using A DSL connection there is a problem with that being set at 1500 and you can get this error...if using a router you change change MTU to 1492 and if its a WinXP they are also having a issue at times with MTU at either 0 or 1500 and this link talks about changing MTU in Win XP (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;283165)...

hope this helps...i work at a ISP and know of the router issue and of WinXP possibly causing this...:(

    neomatsu...;)
