It dosen't matter which browser or email I use. After attacting a file the computer freezes. Even ctrl/alt/delete does not respond. I have to reset. Thoughts?

    The usual questions:

Did this happen immediately after installing or uninstalling software?

Does it occur when the file is attached or when it's sent?

Do you have an AV program that scans outgoing mail, and if so, does it do it with that basically useless "feature" disabled?

Since it's independent of the email client being used, it would seem to be in the operating system components. Is your connection dial-up or broadband? If the former, is the DUN software up to date (MS DUNS is V 1.4 at the moment)?

If the Vulcan nerve pinch (Ctrl-Alt-Delete) doesn't work immediately, try holding down the combination for several seconds. Unless it's totally locked up, this usually gets its attention. If it works, see what's highlighted.

    Etcetera, etcetera.
