    Hi

I just noticed that I cannot send email with attachements (any size) after I downloaded the XP SP2 update. I truned off the firewall and still no luck. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Update: I'm using Outlook 2003 and now it seems like I can't send emails over 1MB, the 3 other small emails just went through.

File "size" limitations are set by your ISP and not your software. Might check with them.

"the 3 other small emails just went through." Does this mean that mail with attachments is working OK?

Emails with "small" attachements seem to be working fine. It seems like I can't send emails with attachements over 1 MB.

It's not my ISP. Due to the nature of my business, It's not uncommon for many of my emails to have attachements that are in the 8MB to 10MB range.

I uninstalled SP2 and the email immemdiately went through with no problems.

rck1 - SP2 is a good enough overall improvement that it is worth some effort to get things working while using it rather than just opting to stay with SP1.

It does sound like you have slammed headlong into a large bug but it is very possible that Microsoft either already has a fix for it or needs to create one very quickly.

I suggest you run this issue past the Microsoft support folks. It should be a free one for you given the circumstances.

I've had occasion to work with them a few times in the past and they have some really sharp support folks.
