Using NS1.7, finally got my inbox to start receiving messages again after 3 days of frustration. Prior to this I had copied all my inbox mail to an inbox2 folder. I created a new profile and have the inbox2 file without 30 meg worth of mail. But each time I enter netscape mail, it shows no emails in the folder. I have deleted my .msf file several times in an attempt to get netscape to rebuild the mail list. Can anyone help?

Actually let me change that, I still can't seem to download my messages with netscape 7.1

i keep getting "This folder is being processed. Please wait until processing is complete to get messages ".

I never thought I would say this, but netscape is starting to look like a much weaker option than outlook. I am about to pull my hair out!

    someone puhlease help.

    Hi jcelest,

The message you are receiving occurs when the user tries to download messages when compacting folders. You have a rather large Inbox, and that may have exacerbated the problem. If you selected "Compact folders when it will save over xx KB" then that most likely is what was happening.

In the even this isn't the case, here are a few workarounds for your problem:
If you are using a Theme other than Modern, then revert back to the Modern Theme.
If you have enabled QuickLaunch, then disable that feature
Disable "Empty Trash on Exit "
Compact all folders by clicking on File | Compact Folders (see if you get the error)

    Close Netscape:
    Open Windows Explorer
    Open your Mail Account Folder
Delete ALL files with an MSF extension
DO NOT delete files WITHOUT the MSF extension (can't hurt to do this again)

If none of the above allows you to receive Mail, then Create a new Profile should be the next step.

With the new Profile, when you copy your Mail files from the corrupt Profile to the new Profile: copy only those files WITHOUT the MSF extension.

You might want to consider archiving some of the Mail in your Inbox.

For future reference see this page:

Post back with any further questions.

    Ramona :D
