This one is screwing with my mind! I've done this too many times to have this issue! Here goes....Linksys 4 port wired + wireless router. Model WRT54GS. Have 3 PC's direct connected and one wireless laptop. All go to the internet fine. Wanted to simply share a printer connected to one wired PC on Parallel port. I can ping the router 192.168.1.1, I cannot ping myself or the other PC's. Doesn't matter if it's wireless or wired. All have same workgroup name (WORKGROUP), PC names are unique. I could understand a sharing issue but not being able to ping each or myself but can ping the router tells me there is a router issue???? (I think!) Need firmware router upgrade? Windows firewall is off. All PC's are running XP SP2.
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Larry

    Can you ping 127.0.0.1?

This sounds more like TCP/IP stack on the problem PC or Network card/drivers problem rather than a router problem.

It might also be worth posting an output from ipconfig /all. If you use the command below, the ipconfig output will be sent to a file called ipconfig.txt. You can then copy and paste the output to a posting here.
    Code:
    ipconfig /all > ipconfig.txt

Thanks for the response. I didn't try to ping 127.0.0.1. I was doing this for a client and got caught up in his angxiety and the need to get his systems back to where they were. When I left, he still couldn't share the printer. Anyway, the TCP/IP stack would be a consideration if it were a single PC issue. There are 3 desktops directly wired to the router and 1 laptop that is wireless. They ALL have the same issue. They all go to the internet, but can't see each other or ping. They can only ping the router, 192.168.1.1. The only common thread that I can see, is the router.
