cant see copied folder on other pc

    i successfully installed, activated and registered win xp on new PC, tried to copy folder and files from old system with flash drive, i cant see the folders, i received an "open with" promt. Then when i choose ms word or internet explorer the files come up blue. Though i copied ok via LAN but i need answer to this.Thanks

    Blue file color normally means they are either compressed or encrypted. It sounds like yours may be encrypted but I'm guessing. If they are, you won't be able to open them out of their original system and set of Securities.

    cant see folder in new pc

    thanks for your blue sscreen tip. but cant still open folders from laptop which i used to back up the files. it gave a message BOOTEX which shows old file system is FAT32 while i think the new PC has NTFS. Could this be the reason. then what can i do to recover the folders
