Can't Save Password

Despite checking the save password box, my dial up connection in outlook Express will not save the password.

Anyone any ideas

 

You don't say what version of Windows you are using so I don't know if the following article from Microsoft's Knowledge Base will help or not;

Outlook Express Password Is Not Retained

If that isn't what you're looking for try this if you haven't already;

Open OE, click on Tools, Accounts. On the Mail tab highlight the default account and then click on Properties. When the properties window opens click on the Server tab. Delete the password entered in the password box then reenter the password, make sure there is a checkmark in "Remember Password ", then click Apply then OK. Close the account window, close OE, disconnect from the internet, reboot and then try to Open OE again to see if this corrected the problem.
