I can change the font in ie by "view," "text size." That has very little effect on the size. I remember someone told me another way to do it but I can't remember. I thought it was tools, options, advanced, something like, let web page font be the size it is on the page. I know it's not that :) but if someone knows what i'm talking about, thats close enough. Thanks, Chirs.

Chris - Try this: Tools in IE>Options>General tab>down at the bottom click on Accesibility>Put check in "Ignore font sizes specified on web pages ".......and see if that helps.

You should make a note to yourself about doing that. As I remember it also causes something to happen (I don't remember what:D )). The fix for the problem was to un-check that box.

Sometimes I make changes and a week later my mind disavows all knowledge of having done anything. Just like my kids best friend "Not Me ". He's the one who did all bad things in the house.;)

    An excellent idea Bmoore1129 ,

I actually keep a log file (info.txt) that documents any changes I make to the system that represent departures from default values. It's pretty embarrasing to have some problem six months later due to my own poor selection of some option. These one-eyed monsters take so long to stumble over all the possible clutter we toss in front of them and my memory is much the same as your kid's; good old "Not Me" or "I Dunno" did it.

    Cheers. :)

Bmoore1129 & Zephyr - Yeah, I hear you and realize that we are all configured a little differently but this setting has caused me no ills that I'm aware of to this point. Accessibility areas can cause trouble - I do know that as my brother used some of the Accessibility options which caused an obscure check to be placed in an area of Accessibility on the control panel which in turn caused resource conflicts and he spent a month (I think - It's been awhile) off line not being able to get his modem to connect (part of the conflict). I currently have no Accessibility icon on my Control Panel. I DO hope that Chris didn't pick up that problem and is now frantically trying to connect and figuring out what the H--- happened.

Now I remember what the problem was. (My forgetter works like new, my remember is intermittent)

In Outlook Express, Using HTML to format an email, changing the font to some size other than what is listed won't work.

I had the default font set to MS comic sans 12 and could not select a word and change to size18.

Had to un-check the ignore fonts thingy.

Thanks for that - I just learned another thing. It has happened here just as you describe but I didn't know why. Now I do. :)
