;) Hi: When I boot up my windows 98SE computer with AMD 400mh K6-111 & an 8 Gig hard drive I get blue screens stating : Invalid VxD dynamic link call from enable (04) + 00000ee6 to device 000b, service 2.
Your windows Configuration is invalid. Run the windows setup program Again to correct this problem.
To continue running Windows press Y or enter. To quit the current program press N. If you continue running Windows, your system may become unstable. Do you want to continue?
Press Y for yes or N for no: Y
I press enter 3 more times & get similar screens with different device numbers( +00000FO7 & +00001020 to ?000B?) & service number 3
Next after those screens I see: Accessibility Error could Not load the enable 2. VXD module. Next I get another Accessibility Error lp. Then I click ok & the Welcome to windows screen appears & the system is very unstable as it will reboot & show the same screens over again.
I have reinstalled 98SE 4 to 6 more times With the same results. I have also deleted my AVG 6 virus program. The CD drive works only when I use my Windows 98 start up floppy disks.
I can get into safe mode by holding down the control key. This allows me to work on my Word Perfect documents & save them to floppy disks. But my CD rewriter is not available so I down loaded all of my files to 20 floppy disks.
How do I get the VxD files to load onto my system From my 98se operating system disk &
make my system work properly again?
    Thank You:

This is not a one file fix.

Boot to the 98SE startup floppy.

    Insert the 98 SE CD.

Hopefully you have you SE install key ( or what ever it is called ) handy.

At the A:\ prompt type X:\Options\setup.

X standing for the letter of your CDROM drive. ( such as D: or E: )

Enter the key number when asked.

Watch CAREFULLY druing the process and make sure Windows gets re-installed to the EXISTING folder. That will retain all of your present setup.

But some Windows Updates may need to be re-installed. some are retained and some are not. So they do need to be checked.

This is the only way I found to correctly fix the problem you are having.

But, if you have a machine such as Dell, HP etc. then you can more than likely forget my ideas.

Please post what type of machine you have.

    Hi Warren,

AMD machines are pretty touchy about being cool. Open yours up and make sure all the dust is cleared out, especially around the fans. See that your fans are working good.

You might want to leave the cover off for a while to see if this helps. VxD errors and blue screens of death are symptoms of a overheated AMD computer.

    The processor could be dying.
Although it could be just overheating as mentioned, the computer just popping off and rebooting is a big clue on this. Some AMD's run a little warmer than Intel's, and you just may need to dust out the inside of the computer with a can of air. Be sure to get all the air vents, heatsinks, fans, etc.
Hold fans from spinning with light pressure. Failure to do so could cause the bearings to be destroyed from high RPM's from the air spinning them

    Try this Warren...

Change the multiplier and FSB on your MOBO. Try running your 400at 66 MHz X 5 or 6 if you can do that simply by jumper settings...

Do you have another CPU to try on your MOBO? I got my AMD K6 III 450 on ebay for 41 bucks!

Thank you everyone for the fast responses. I have a US Tech Computer that was purchased in 12-1-98 they went out of business fall of 99. I updated it in April of 2000, with a new proccessor, CD-RW, 8mb AGP Video bd & MO.BD. I will not be able to try these fixes untill next week. I will respond with the results. I printed them out.
