I'm having trouble printing .tif files.
    I have a windows2000 pro sp2 Pc with a hp dj960c printer.
I'm using a pgm called 'imaging' to open/view the files.
I can view them fine, but when I click print them I get blank pages.
I have already updated the printer drivers and that didn't help.

I've tried the tif files onto another win2000 Pc and they print fine using the same IMAGING pgm.

    Any ideas.

To your knowledge, .tif files are the only file type printer will not print?
Will not print ANY .tif files, small or large?

Do you have Irfanview? If not, give it a try. Possible it can resolve the problem between .tiff and the printer.

We would like to use "Imaging" rather than another pgm.
    Any other ideas...

If printer prints everything "except" .tifs, my first concern would be the program sending the file to the printer.
You call the program "Imaging "... unfortunately that is a difficult word to search on the web. Could you provide more infromation ... Software company, URL, version release of the software. Do you have this same program on a different computer, if yes can you move problem printer to that computer -or- connect a different printer to the problem computer?

First thing I'd do is a general cleanup of the PC.
    • From the browser dump all temp internet files (including offline) and cookies and delete the history.
    • From My Computer, right-click each drive and do a Disk Cleanup. Set to dump whatever it finds.
    • start~run~cmd then chkdsk /f and answer Y(es) to doing the deed at next reboot. Reboot.
    • Defrag.
Then rip out the app and the printer and reinstall both.
