Resolved can't open regedit.exe file

    The registry editor appears in the task bar but will not maximize. Tried the microsoft solution of copying regedit.exe to regedit.com in a dos window then start regedit.com which created the same results.

    It's possible that Regedit's window has appeared off screen.

    Try right clicking on the Regedit entry in the task bar, select move then left click and hold whilst moving your mouse around, can you see it now?

    Yeah, man what a dummy I am. I'm using dual screens and watching tv on the other. I should have known. Thanks for the quick response.

    I often have the same issue with my laptop, at home it's dual monitor. :)

    Yep - been there - T Shirt, video, etc, but on the desktop - only have the second screen on for Photoshop :)
