    Hi all,
I have Linksys adsl gateway that connect my two computers together, I can use the net on both PCs ,and can view both of them when I check workgroup computers.. but the problem is that one of the computers can't access the other one .. for example : Computer "A" can't access computer "B" but computer "B" can access computer "A" and view the shared files on computer "A" !! when I try to open or explore computer "B" I get this error message (\\**** is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the admi of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

The network path was not found.)

After I turned the firewall of on the pc "B" ..I got "connect to **" login window asking me for a password?!

I'm able to ping the pc vise versa ..but I still can't open or explore the pc files!!

Firewalls are turned off on both computers!

can u help me on this ?

    thanks

Do you have anything "shared" out on either machine?
If nothing is "shared" there is nothing to see unless there are matching accounts and matching passwords with admin rights on both machines.

Setup an account on PC "A" called "Local User" with a password.
Setup an account on PC "B" called "Local User" with the same password.

Then if from PC "A" you got to \\PC "B "\C$ you can see the entire drive.

Windows shares the C drive as C$ by default.
