I've been trying to make a new mail account in Thunderbird, and I think I have everything set correctly (went through their "Account Wizard" successfully) but the account doesn't appear in the left "All Folders" window - but it *does* appear in the Tools/Account Settings list.

Also, when I tried a test mail to that new account, it *did* ping in... and after much searching I found the test message in the "Local Folders" account.

What's going on here and how can I get the new account to work like my other e-mail accounts?

Account settings/server settings/advanced. Check mark in the top instead of local folders.

This option is in the initial setup of a new account and is checked local folders inbox by default.
