   I keep getting an error message about patch programs being missing or invalid, or Installer error 1635.
   
   I can't even update/change my Office XP configuration anymore. I just get another patch error message.

   Error 1635: This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.
   
   So I'd ask your vendor.....
