Currently, Silverlight 2.x is installed (preinstalled) on my system, at least that's what the Silverlight site tells me. When I go to watch video on the Olympic site, I'm told to install Silverlight 3. No problem, just 2 easy steps, right? Wrong. I download the program and when I try to install, I get the error message that "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable ". I've checked the Microsoft site with no luck. I try to uninstall the current version, as suggested, and I get the same error. So, I can't uninstall or install a Microsoft program on a Microsoft system. Every day, I regret buying a system with Windows 7 more and more!

I've tried installing through IE and Firefox, no go. The funny thing is that I can install on my XP system with no problems. I tried selecting "run as administrator" (even though administrator is all that's on my system) and no go. I tried compatibility mode from XP on up and no version will work. I keep getting the same message. My drive was set as shared on my network (which still doesn't work the best) so I changed it to not share the drive and still no go.

How do I get this simple piece of Microsoft software to work on a Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium system? Really, it shouldn't be this hard. Other programs install with no problems. You would think Microsoft would accept it's own program.

Please help before my head explodes. :D Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Arie,

I tried the link you sent and no luck, I still get the same error message. As I mentioned before, I can not uninstall the current version due to the same error message. During uninstall, I also get the message stating: "The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access it."

Thanks Arie, that did the trick. Once version 2 uninstalled, version 3 installed without a hitch. Thanks for your help!
