    Hi

I bought a game which requires the .NET framework. However, when I try to install it (Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1) from the Microsoft site, I can download the file but I get an error message during installation (Internal error 2908, and error 1935, followed by a bunch of text I don't understand and references to various files). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a folder for Microsoft.NET in my programs folder, but I assumed it was corrupted and uninstaleld it and deleted the folder prior to attempting this download.

Hi, jeffl123. Welcome to Windows BBS! :)

    1. Please navigate to your C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder and locate the mscoree.dll file.
    2. Then right-click on the file name and rename the file to mscoree.old (Do not delete the file, just to be on the safe side).
    3. Then try installing the .NET Framework package.
(If successful, then restart your computer.)
